The word Trinity is not found in the Bible?

Trinity comes from two Latin words -- TRI and UNIS, meaning three and one. Answer: A word does not have to be in the Bible for the concept expressed by that word to be biblical. For example, the word “Bible” is not contained in the Bible either. However, the concept of the Bible is present in the Bible using other words, such as “Scripture,” “word of God,” “prophecy,” and so forth. Thus the absence of a particular word does not mean that the concept expressed by the word is unbiblical.

The doctrine of the trinity is borrowed from ancient paganism?

Answer: No true parallel to the trinity has ever been produced by critics of the Trinity. Every alleged parallel non-Trinitarians point to is really a triad of three separate gods working together. Since these parallels are all drawn from polytheistic religions and Trinitarianism is a form of monotheism, the similarities are superficial

This is an argument of false cause (misrepresents the cause of something). In pagan constructs, they always worshipped and believed in three separate gods. The Trinity asserts one eternal true God revealed in three distinct inseparable Persons. The doctrine of the Trinity is indigenous only to Christianity. The burden of proof rests squarely on those folks who make this kind of assertion—merely asserting something does not prove anything

Do Christians Believe in Three Gods?

This is a typical straw man argument that misrepresents the doctrine of the Trinity by assuming that Trinity means three Gods. The biblical doctrine of the Trinity teaches that there are three coequal, coeternal, coexistence, distinct Persons who share the nature of the one God. Three separate Gods is not Trinitarianism, but tritheism, which is how the Mormons view the Godhead!

Father, Son and Holy Spirit = 1 God

Three persons in one God is not the same as three separate gods, just as three persons in one family is not three separate families. There is one God eternally existing and manifesting Himself to us in three persons -- Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God has revealed himself to us as triune. If you talk to Jesus, you are talking to God, not part of God. Keep in mind that part of the three is oneness. Therefore you cannot divid God into three parts or that would be polytheism. God has attributes that are distinct but not separate.

  The Trinity IS LIKE

Water, for example, under pressure and in a vacuum at a given temperature below freezing exists simultaneously as both liquid, gas, and ice, yet it is identifiable always as water (H2O), its basic nature. This is called chemistry "the triple point of water." Water can be three different things = ice, water, snow. Yet when they are all melted down, they are ALL water ! They are all the SAME.

The very universe is triune in nature, the Universe in the whole is made up of space, time and matter, and to take out any one of these elements would destroy the other two, and everywhere you are they are all three there in full equal force.

And then look at time it is also triune, the past, present and future. And each must have the other to exist, though they are not each other. We can not have tomorrow if we do not have now, and we can not have yesterday if there is no tomorrow to pass and make a yesterday.

So it is with God, God in the whole his being can be liken to the Universe, which is made up of space, time and matter. Or look at time, the whole is TIME, and time is made up of past, present and future. Even matter is triune, in that is has height, breath, and length, all at the same time, and each though it is not the other, can not be with out the other. The Bible teaches that a human being is made up of body, spirit, and soul (I The. 5:23; Heb. 4:12).

I think the best symbol for the Trinity is the human family. Indeed, I believe that the family is an icon of the Trinity, that our being made in the image of the God, joining together as man and wife and becoming one flesh, helping God bring new life into the world, reflects beautifully the endless Love that is our triune God.

ST. Patrick used the shamrock as a symbol to explain the Trinity to Unbelievers, how God is One God in Three Persons. Patrick would hold up a shamrock and challenge his hearers, "Is it one leaf or three?" "It is both one leaf and three," was their reply. "And so it is with God," he would conclude.

So, the triune creator has left his mark, his finger print, on all of creation.
